“Cheer & Lead The Champion Way!”
OUR MISSION
Preserving the legacy since 1948
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and education of the original United States Cheerleaders Association founded by Pauline A. Hess who began her spirited journey in 1948.
We hope to enlighten by sharing pieces of history that have been overlooked from the 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s led by Miss Hess and the original U.S.C.A.
Based in Michigan, this mid-to-late century movement provided many firsts & helped launch various paths forward.
With four decades to reference we hope to deliver and create awareness about this beloved organization that had given so much.
After closing in 1990, the influences lived on through several lines of succession and roads that lead back. We are very excited to share these stories and the relevance to today’s society, sports & culture.
SPIRIT REIGNITED!
In 2021, a post-Covid social outreach occurred amongst a small group of old colleagues. There was a natural curiosity to find out how people were doing after the pandemic. No one would have expected that the casual exchanges would become an energized Reawakening.
Motivated to expand the outreach, a large reunion was coordinated bringing several folks together for the first time in 30+ years. The networking would continue afterwards with people that have never met or only heard about with shared experiences of the original U.S.C.A.
Keeping the spirit alive has manifested into the development of this Historical Foundation which will support various functions that keep the mission of preservation and education moving forward including books & documentary projects, memorabilia exhibits & works of art, celebration events, and recognition opportunities for athletes.
